September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Sarah Tatum spoke to The Blackshear Exchange Club on September 7th. Their son, Camp Tatum, was diagnosed with a brain tumor on July 3,2016 and went to be with Jesus on January 19, 2017. Sadly, he was only 2 ½ years old. “Campground Clothing Company is a quality apparel brand that is committed to a cause”, stated Sarah. 50% of the profits are given toward Childhood Cancer Awareness and Research. Through CCC, their goal is to share Camp’s courageous battle and share the love of Jesus, while raising funds to support research, and put an end to childhood cancer forever or at least to give comfort to families who are facing the same struggles. Please visit www.campgroundclothing.com to find out more. If you make a purchase, you’re not only getting an amazing product, but your purchase will touch families all over the world as you support research.

The Exchange Club of Blackshear is proud to announce its 2016-2017 officers. The Club just recently celebrated their 50-year anniversary here in Blackshear. The charter meeting was held over 50 years ago on May 16th, 1967 in the Blackshear high school lunchroom. Back then as it is today, all of the net proceeds from fund raisers of The Exchange Club of Blackshear go directly back into our local community.

We are looking for some more great people to help carry on this tradition. Come join us on the first and third Thursday of each month in the Jerry J’s private dining room in Blackshear. We look forward to seeing you there! Contact us on Facebook @ The Exchange Club of Blackshear. We have 2 different membership levels to meet everyone’s needs.
